As a consequence of these failing scores, a board of managers will be appointed by the agency to oversee the HISD administration. This takeover is expected to address the issues faced by these struggling schools and ensure that students continue to receive the education they deserve.

Further, HISD Superintendent Grenita Lathan expressed her disappointment with the failing scores and reassured parents that the district will work diligently to improve the situation. She emphasized the district’s commitment to providing every student with a quality education, regardless of their socioeconomic background.

It is worth noting that the district has faced similar challenges in the past and managed to turn the situation around. Taking inspiration from previous success stories, the officials at HISD are optimistic about taking necessary measures to enhance the performance of these failing schools.
