Georgia ranked 14th in best states for 2021 according to a new report by U.S. News & World Report. The state moved up two spots from last year’s ranking, but still missed the top 10.
The report evaluated each state based on several factors including healthcare, education, economy, infrastructure, opportunity, fiscal stability, crime and corrections, and natural environment.
Georgia scored well in some categories such as economy and education, but fell short in healthcare and opportunity. The state’s infrastructure and natural environment were also areas of concern.
Despite not making the top 10, Georgia has made progress in recent years and continues to be an attractive destination for businesses and residents. Governor Brian Kemp expressed his commitment to improving the state’s ranking in the future.
Overall, Georgia has shown positive growth and improvement in various aspects, but there is still room for development in order to reach the top tier of states in the country.
