A 35-year-old woman in Chicago, has been charged with attempted murder after a shooting incident on the city’s South Side.
The incident occurred on Saturday night in the city’s Englewood neighborhood. The woman, identified as Ebony Dorsey, allegedly shot a man multiple times following an argument.
The victim was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but is expected to survive. Dorsey was arrested at the scene and taken into custody by the police.
This is not the first time Dorsey has been in trouble with the law. She has a criminal record that includes prior charges for drugs and weapons offenses.
Dorsey appeared in court on Tuesday where she was charged with attempted murder and ordered held without bail. She is scheduled to appear in court again later this month.
The motive for the shooting is still under investigation. Authorities are asking anyone with information to come forward.
