The COVID-19 vaccine developed by Baylor College of Medicine is being tested on elephants in Houston. This vaccine, which uses messenger RNA technology, is being given to elephants at the Houston Zoo. The goal is to study the vaccine’s efficacy in different species and gather valuable information that could potentially help in the fight against the coronavirus. The elephants at the zoo are not the only animals involved in this study – primates and even some animals in the wild are also being used in the research. The results of the study could provide valuable insights into how to better protect animals from COVID-19, and potentially help in the development of vaccines for other diseases in the future.
