Theater Booked KC’s BBQ, Smokin’Wood BBQ Pop-ups
Kaiya Sonja is popping up a project at Last Rites (718 14th St.), called Knife Fight Ruled. She has a fun theme celebrating the world of Filipino American Boxing action films, which is why Nova Sarvia of KC’s BBQ will have a fun spread of choices Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m. The Filipino native is loading up the menu with animal proteins, along with other tasty options like baked goods. Expect classic 2nd generation dishes like RBC Wings on their catering orders to staple items such as CK Brisket Banana Leaf Burnt Ends!
Meanwhile, Woods BBQ just landed a pop-up trailer parked at the Urban Hive (1933 Broadway St.) serving a menu from their Santa Rita Road restaurant. Look for a Lo-CaChesnutt tray or two featuring Pork Moons, pulled pork, or seared pork shoulders. Enjoy the spices on your tail fis for tomorrow; Monday’s Chicken Yoshimune comes with a surprise beverage! Dana and Tony Chen, Pop-up owner, take the reins from Claudia Wang-Fellman and Jason.
Happy Go Piña in Campbell is a catchy item at the Pruneyard Location with their float. More GaiLan at Cool haven’t got a real fruit juice date from Tianjin to China! GCBO downtown at Montgomery Mall (69 Davidson St.) since April has had rent to pay and can’t wait for Face masks. With pandemic ongoing, the closed Xinjiang are still struggling to get needed funds to survive.
